It’s ALL About The Free Traffic

On December 23, 2010, in Internet Marketing, by Adrienne

Can’t believe another week has already gone by.  Wanted to be sure and update you on my progress.  It’s really been quite exciting for me because I’ve gotten 2 sales already.  Yep, one last week and one this week.  Yeah me!!!  See, this stuff really works!

All I have been doing to generate traffic to my blog is what I’ve already shared with you so far.  I am diving into a new skill set and when I fully understand how that can benefit me, I’ll be the first one to share in my future posts.  Honestly, I won’t share anything with you that hasn’t worked for me.  No need in wasting your time and mine right!

Have been religiously writing an article a day during the week only because I have other things on my plate on the weekends.  I post my article link to all of my social media sites using a site I just love called Ping.fm.  Yeah, I could do it automatically through other paid services but I just love Ping.  It you haven’t tried it, I suggest to give it a shot.  Okay anyway, the sites I send my links to include Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, LinkedIn, MySpace (yeah, I still have my account there) and FriendFeed.  I know…  There could be a lot more but in time I’m sure there will be.

I also send that link to the IM Automator  and my blog post to Blog Carnival, both of these I shared with you in an earlier post.  I have a YouTube account but have yet to do a video on this only because I just haven’t taken the time.  Yep, I’m guilty but it’s in the works..

Was just introduced to a free site that I’m fixing to try out but the only problem is that it’s pretty darn time consuming.  Will tell you about that in a later post, only if I see results that is…

So other than what I’m currently doing and these other methods I’m checking out, that’s all I’m doing to get visitors to my site.

Last week I reported that I’ve had 101 visitors to my blog and 17 of those opted-in to my list.  One week later I’ve had 27 more visitors to my site and 2 more opt-ins.  Not too shabby for another weeks work.  See, it takes time to build up a following and get people to your site but since 2 have already purchased from me, I would say that’s not too bad…

That’s all I’ve got to share for this week and hope to have more to report in next weeks post.  Until then, get started guys.  You can’t get traffic to your site until you start taking action.  I didn’t have a following before this, I didn’t have a list to promote this stuff to.  I started from scratch which is why I felt it important to log my efforts so you can read what I’m doing to grow my list.  How many people can say that they started exactly 30 days ago and already have 2 sales under their belt.  I would say that’s pretty darn good for a newbie!!!

Good luck to you all and be sure to leave me a comment.  If you have any questions or need any help, send me an email.  That’s what I’m here for!

Talk to you next week…

  1. Could you please clarify what you made those 2 sales on? The 4 banner ads in the sidebar? Can you share the niches of Affiliate Marketing you are working in? I would guess Internet Marketing. Would be interested to know if you are also working in consumer product marketing vs. information products. Love your blog and look forward to watching your progression.

I have started blogging again after a 5 year gap in posts but have not monetized my Blog. It is a Media Marketing Strategy Blog called Yarbys Corner and is tied to my main website The Media Mix. I hope you will visit and find the info useful.

I think we have a lot to share.

      Hey Linda,

The 2 sales were for the product I’m promoting. I didn’t even have the banner ads up at that time. The niche I’m working in is affiliate marketing and I’m promoting my current product, my Super Affiliate Bootcamp which is marketing system. The whole purpose of my blog is to inform people of my progress as I move forward promoting my product.

That’s great that you’ve stated blogging again. I will definitely visit your blog and comment as well. Looking forward to it.

Thank you for the compliment and so glad you stopped by.

I’ve been thinking about posting to Blog Carnival – what kind of results do you get from that?

    Keep on, keeping on.

      Hey Paul,

So far I haven’t seen a lot of traffic from the blog carnivals, but some. Since it’s free to post and it only takes a couple of minutes, I felt that it was still something worth my time. Hope that helps a little with your decision.

      Later my friend,
